ABOUT
I am a multi-media sculptor and installation artist based in Calgary/Mohkinstsis. I studied at the Alberta University of the Arts (formerly ACAD) and have maintained a sporadic practice since graduating, returning recently to the studio with renewed enthusiasm and regular frequency.

My work draws on traditions of domestic handicrafts and combines storytelling with social commentary. Recurring themes are memory, familiarity, coincidence and contradiction. I am interested in materials with potential for divergent worth and meaning; utterly ordinary in their uniformity and easy availability, made unique by context and composition. Rhythm and repetition are key features of my practice, often making the construction of the work meditative or boring, but intuition and allure always influence the final configuration. Single works are often installed differently with each showing, seeking impermanence and evolution.

My work has been shown in group exhibitions in Calgary, Toronto and London, England.
